LOGITECH'S latest radio-based cordless keyboards feature special dedicated keys that put the user quickly in touch with the Internet and multimedia facilities.
The Logitech Cordless iTouch is a stand-alone keyboard featuring a standard 104-key layout and sells for about $130.
Logitech is also packaging its iTouch keyboard with the Logitech Cordless Wheel Mouse for about $200.
The iTouch keyboard combines dedicated buttons, software and a special website that allow the user to control the Internet and multimedia with one press of a button.
iTouch helps users to locate the most popular websites in a variety of categories, as identified by Neilsen Ratings.
The iTouch search function serves as a one-stop location that organises search options.
Included in the multimedia functions is Virtuosa, by AudioSoft, a jukebox for the PC, which lets users download and play music from their personal CD collection or from the Internet in an MP3 format. They can also create a library of legally acquired music collections using Virtuosa's CD-burning capabilities.
Logitech cordless keyboards and mice work within 1.8m of the computer and do not require line of sight. They use the same receiver.
The keyboard also features a detachable palm rest.
